Music as Language, Sound as Touch
By teacher • Feb 20th, 2008 • Category: Sound AdviceVery often beginning filmmakers neglect to understand the importance sound plays in movies. Animators on the other hand are usually trained to create or have the sound created first and make the movie match the sound. According to recent studies, this may actually be very sound advice. New York Public Radio’s “Radio Lab” podcast has a series of shows on the subject of sound, music and language that are well worth downloading to your ipod.
Here is the link to their web page, but the programs are also available on itunes. Just search for Radio Lab.
teacher knows that anyone can make 10 second movies.
